Art Trends and Altamira with Michael Facchinello

In this episode of the Artist Business Plan we sit down with Michael Facchinello, to discuss his company Altamira and accessibility in art. Learn about the way artists should approach e-commerce when you tune into this lovely episode.

Guest: Michael Facchinello is the founder of Altamira. He loves to create things from scratch and drive them through to completion. As a kid, his aunt owned a gallery in Basalt. He spent summers with his grandparents in nearby Aspen, so he spent a lot of time in the gallery. Prior to Altamira, Michael spent 8 years at Clique Studios, a top national design firm headquartered out of Chicago. There he started as a UX designer then transitioned to launching and managing new offices. In 2013, Michael helped launch the Chicago Venture Summit, sitting on the steering committee until 2021. From 2017-2019 he taught a class on web design at The University of Chicago Graham School.
