Episode 9
International Artists Marketing their Work in the US with Moyosore Martins
In this episode of The Artist Business Plan, James sits down with Nigerian multimedia artist Moyosore Martins to hear about how his background and experiences developed into his unique style as an artist. From parents who didn't believe one could make money as an artist, Moyosore grew up, traveled the world, and fell in love with the freedom he found in places like Ivory Coast and Ghana to create. Now Moyo has developed his artistic style and shares insight on how, when you develop your own consistent original style, it will pave the path to a successful business for your art. If you experience life, focus on the portfolio rather than the fame, and save some time to go watch the sunset, you will be helping your art.
"You need to believe in yourself before anyone else believes in you."- MOYO
Guest: Moyosore Martins is a Nigerian multimedia artist who is now based in New York. He is a painter, digital artist, sculptor, and fashion designer.
